Word Chain Daily stores game progress, daily completion dates, streak records, puzzle copies for offline use, and your analytics choice in this browser’s local storage. These records are tied to this browser, not a user account. Clearing browser data can remove them. Your guesses are checked in your browser against the current puzzle’s reviewed answers.
Optional analytics
If you allow analytics, we load Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and PVUV.ai. GA4 receives a few fixed game actions, such as starting or completing a puzzle, using a hint, or opening a share option. We do not include words you typed, answers, or scores in those events.
PVUV.ai measures visits, sessions, referrals, page paths, outbound clicks, downloads, and traffic-quality signals. Its script uses first-party cookies for visitor and session identifiers, may use local storage, and collects device and interaction signals to distinguish people from automated traffic. We do not send puzzle input or answers as PVUV event properties.
Both scripts load only after you allow this updated analytics choice and only when this browser is not excluded from testing. An earlier choice to decline remains in effect; an earlier GA4-only approval asks you again before PVUV can load. Declining or turning on the test exclusion stops them on future page loads; if PVUV is already running, the page reloads to stop its listeners. Earlier actions are not replayed when you later allow analytics.

Cloudflare Web Analytics
Cloudflare adds a separate Web Analytics beacon to production pages when it serves them. It measures page views and page-load performance. The choice above and the browser test exclusion below control GA4 and PVUV.ai only; they do not turn off this Cloudflare beacon. Cloudflare says its beacon does not use cookies or browser storage, and that it discards the IP address received with the beacon request at its nearest data center. Advertising
We have connected this site to Google AdSense for ownership verification and review. We do not currently display ads or load an advertising script. The analytics choice above does not grant consent for advertising.
If ads are enabled after approval, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this site or other sites. Google's advertising cookies allow Google and its partners to tailor ads based on those visits. You can opt out of personalized advertising through Google's Ad Settings. If other advertising vendors or networks are enabled, we will identify them and provide their websites and opt-out information here before they serve ads. We will also provide any additional consent choices required where you live before enabling those ads.
Exclude this browser from optional analytics
